After having apparently conducted an investigation lasting for around a month, the police decided that it was time to act. Arriving with a warrant to search the Jersey Avenue warehouse premises in New Brunswick, police are reported to have seized around $11,000 in cash along with poker paraphernalia such as chips, cards, and tables. A number of computers were also taken away. 6 people were arrested on charges ranging from promoting gambling, conspiracy to promote gambling, and operating a gambling resort. All six were later released after posting bail. According to a police spokesman, a further 22 people were issued with city ordinance violation.
