LAS VEGAS July 24, 2006 A new Players Services desk is open for business

at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino headquarters of the World Series of

Poker Presented by Milwaukee¹s Best Light.

"The planet¹s richest and most prestigious gaming event is attracting

thousands of customers from around the world," said World Series of Poker

Tournament Director Bob Daily. "To accommodate them and provide the best

possible customer service, we¹ve set up a player services desk that will be

open 18 hours a day."

Customer representatives will be on hand to respond to player questions,

comments, concerns and suggestions about tournament operations, live game or

satellite play from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. daily. In addition, Daily and

members of his tournament staff will be available to answer player questions

about what happens on the tournament floor.

As of July 23, more than 6,100 players had pre-registered for the upcoming

$10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold¹em World Championship. The amount surpasses last

year¹s record of 5,619 entries, ensuring this year¹s Main Event, which

starts July 28, will be the largest and richest live poker event ever held.

Tournament organizers scheduled a four-day start for the event to

accommodate the enormous demand for seats. Registration continues around the

clock at the Rio until July 28, at which point if seats are still

available players can register on each start day until the first level of

play is concluded. Registration closes entirely at the conclusion of the

first level of play on July 31.
