Anderson Adds to her Poker Portfolio

Pamela Anderson, former Baywatch star and global sex symbol, is adding to the recent success of her branded online poker room, Pamelapoker.com, by launching a new Internet based make-up line. The make-up will be available solely through her website.

Anderson.s poker site launched in July. Anderson's site is part of poker legend Doyle Brunson's Poker Network, a collection of sites involving celebrities and high-profile professional poker players, including Brunson.

Anderson's site has been signing up between 1,500 and 3,000 players a day, Brunson noted. She has quickly established a loyal following from adoring fans and poker enthusiasts alike.

"Besides being a beautiful girl, Pamela has a dynamite personality and she has a great head on her shoulders," Brunson says. "Poker is huge, and it's just touched the surface in China and Europe, and Pamela is huge in Europe. People I can't reach, Pamela can reach."

"A lot of my friends play poker, and I thought, 'What is this?' " Anderson said to USA Today over the phone from Los Angeles. "I wasn't much of a gambler, but my dad plays poker and my grandpop plays poker, so it's in my blood. My mom told me to do Playboy, my dad told me to do poker, so I'm just listening to my parents."

"I'm learning from Doyle, so I won't be learning bad habits," Anderson says. "The site is lighthearted, it's sexy and it's fun."

Anderson's involvement in the site was limited at first, while she was busy getting married to music star Kid Rock in Saint-Tropez, France. Now, the designer, syndicated columnist advocate for women's issues and PETA, and mother of two sons will focus on her poker site and make-up line.

For her new venture, Anderson has teamed up with cosmetic firm Bed Head to release her own range of hair and body care products.

Anderson explained, "Bed Head and I have joined forces and we're putting out hair care and body care and an easy make-up line ASAP. I'll be selling the products on the Internet only, through my site. I have a lot of easy things for hair coming out, mostly inspired by my mom."
