Michael Wiesenberg Michael Wiesenberg

Michael Wiesenberg made his living playing poker for 10 years before turning to a career as technical writer in the computer field. His books reflect those two careers: Free Money: How to Win in the Cardrooms of California; Puzzled Programmers, a collection of short stories, each of which introduces a mathematical puzzle best solved by computer, with solutions presented in three programming languages; and The Official Dictionary of Poker, which contains the entire spectrum of poker terminology, from the common to the obscure, illustrated by thousands of colorful examples actually heard in cardrooms.

He also coauthored a pioneering book on desktop publishing, and has been a Card Player columnist since the inception of the magazine. Prior to that, he had regular columns in Poker Player and Pan Player+, in addition to columns in various computer magazines. wiesenberg ranks among today's most prolific and respected poker authorities.
