Steven DannenmannSteven Dannenmann appeared rather abruptly on the poker scene in 2005, coming in second to Joe Hachem's first in the World Series of Poker main event. Having split the $10,000 buy-in with a friend, he then split his prize of $4.25 million. Still not a bad payday for such a newcomer. Steve is a certified public accountaint from Maryland, is very humble about his recent poker achievements. He remarks that he's merely the "fourth best" player in his regular home game. Not one for mincing words, Dannenmann drew criticism from numerous professionals after citing the game as "boring." Strange words, perhaps, from someone who previously earned a living as an accountant.
