CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT May 27, 2004 Day 6 Results No-Limit Hold’em Buy-in: $10,000 FINAL TABLE Seat First Name Last Name Chip Count 4 GREG RAYMER $8,215,000 5 MATT DEAN $4,920,000 2 JOSH ARIEH $3,205,000 7 GLENN HUGHES $2,275,000 6 DAN HARRINGTON $2,245,000 8 DAVID WILLIAMS $1,575,000 3 AL KRUX $1,305,000 9 MICHAEL MCCLAIN $885,000 1 MATTIAS ANDERSSON $740,000 Well done to all that made final table - Matts we are so proud of you !!!!! 1.00AM - We have a final table Marcel Luske moved in on a flop of 3 clubs Queen high. He had two 4's in his hand with the 4 of clubs. Dan Harrington called the 700k bet with Ace clubs, Jack. A jack came on the turn and a blank on the river. Marcel finished in 10th place and we now have our final 9 player line up. Greg Raymer leads with about 7.5M. Official chip count and seats will be available as soon as they are released shortly. Play resumes at 1.00pm later today. 12:50 AM Things have been pretty dull since Dewey Archer got busted in 11th over two hours ago. Many of the media are dreading a late night, because tomorrow's final table will certainly last until the early morning. There was one exciting moment, when Dave Williams got all in with A-Q against Josh Arieh's 10-10. Williams hit an ace on the turn and doubled up. Prize Money 1st $5,000,000 2nd $3,500,000 3rd $2,500,000 4th $1,500,000 5th $1,100,000 6th $800,000 7th $675,000 8th $575,000 9th $470,400 10th $373,000 12:10 AM Greg "Fossilman" Raymer $6,410,000 Matt Dean $5,200,000 Josh Arieh $3,800,000 Marcel Luske $2,600,000 Glenn Hughes $1,900,000 Al Krux $1,600,000 Dan Harrington $1,400,000 Mattias Andersson $1,000,000 David Williams $1,000,000 Michael McClain $850,000 12:05 AM Glenn Hughes raises $200,000 from the button, and Marcel Luske moves all in from the big blind for $960,000 more. Luske begins stacking his chips into a giant wall in the middle of the table. Luske sips his beverage, and then takes on a very concerned expression: pursing his lips and furrowing his brow in a very obvious manner. Hughes continues to think, and Luske, apparently bored, begins cleaning his sunglasses with his tie. (From the rail, Devilfish informs him that he missed a speck of dust). Hughes studies even more, and Luske slumps back in his chair and closes his eyes as though sleeping. ("Give him a blankie!" exclaims Devilfish.) Finally, Hughes folds. He turns over 9-9 and begs Luske to show his hand. Likewise, the crowd demands to see Luske's hand. Finally, Luske relents, turns over A-J offsuit and rakes the pot as the crowd applauds. 11:20 PM Play resumes. Chip Count (approximate): Seat 4. Greg Raymer $5,405,000 Seat 5. Matt Dean $4,490,000 Seat 2. Josh Arieh $4,450,000 Average $2,576,000 Seat 7. Glenn Hughes $1,970,000 Seat 8. David Williams $1,850,000 Seat 3. Al Krux $1,770,000 Seat 9.
