2:35 PM NLHE final table should start soon. 2:30 PM They are using the "1-2-shoot" format. According to Gordon, "1-2-3-shoot" is the European format. 1st Round Bobby Boyd defeats Rafe Furst, 4-2 2nd Round Kevin Keller defeats Annie Duke, 4-2$ *Duke used the serial numbers on a dollar bill to randomize her throws. This means that Keller could not gain any psychological advantage. However, it means that the result of the contest was essentially a coin toss. Final Round Bobby Boyd defeats Kevin Keller, 4-3 Keller was up 3-1, but Boyd rallied and won 3 in a row for the victory. Boyd receives hugs from Dutch and Scott Fischman. He also receives a trophy, which appears to be scissors and a rock glued to a paper plate, and a "bracelet", which appears to be a purple rubber band. And, he wins the $10,000 seat. 2:16 PM 64 players, mostly pros, paid $200 each to enter this contest. $5,000 is going to the Cancer Research & Prevention Foundation (Gordon's "Put a Bad Beat on Cancer" charity), and the winner of the contest will receive an entry into the Main Event of the WSOP. There's a $2,200 imbalance there - I assume Gordon is putting up the difference. This contest is being taped by ESPN. It will probably appear on "The Nuts", or this year's equivalent. Four players remain: Bobby Boyd, Rafe Furst, Annie Duke, and Kevin Keller. They are playing best-of-7 elimination matches. Sunday, 1:55 PM The start of the $2,000 NLHE final table will be delayed until approximately 3 PM, in order to bring you the finals of Phil Gordon's "Roshambo" (Rock Scissors Paper) tournament. Also, for some more history on Phil Gordon's fondness for Rock Scissors Paper (Fine. Roshambo.), check out this old episode of This American Life. 11:10 PM The final is slated for 2PM tomorrow, Pacific time. See you there. ![]() Harry Demetriou ![]() Paul Sexton ![]() Cyndy Violette ![]() Fabrice Soulier ![]() Morgan Machina ![]() Erik Seidel ![]() Bill Blanda ![]() Chris Wunderlich ![]() Perry Friedman 11:00 PM We have our final 9. We lost him on a classic matchup. Mark raised to 50K and Morgan reraised to 150K and Mark called. The flop came K T 3. Morgan bets and Mark pushes all in. Mark shows A K and Morgan A Q. The turn brings the magic card for Morgan, the J and makes him broadway for the win. Mark goes out 10th. 10th Mark Ketteringham $28,395 10:55 Mark took most of Bill's chips in the first hand out of the chute. Bill was small blind and lost with his QQ vs K8 to a K on the board. He turned around and went all in against Cyndy with a Q5 off and doubled up with high card vs her J4. 10:45 The scene is set for the final elimination. One player misses his chance to make it to the TV arena tonight. During the changing of the guard, two casualties occured back to back at the same table. John Grooms has the final 10 drawing for seats and we will be back to it in a few minutes. Cyndy the "eliminator" took out Dani Awad with a royal flush. She is virtually unstoppable. 11th Dani Awad $28,395 The player who left in 12th position was Chris Demaci.
