12:41
Down to 39. Bonnie Rossi failed at this attempt, but that woman is one heck of a player. You WILL see her name again.
12;25
It seems that the Omaha tournament has a lot of professionals per capita. Although there are a lot of people still in that I dont know. We are very close to payout time. Huck Seed is out.
12:00
Down to 48 now. Sorry, Max Pescatori must have been gone, he is still in and has about 15K in chips.
11:30
Break. Time to chip up to the next flavor and play for a little higher limits. We'll move up to 500/1000 blinds and 1000/2000 limits.
11:20
Down to 6 tables, 54 players. Josh didnt seem to make it, so, no purse etc. for the dealer I reckon. These players are also missing in action:
Max Pescatori
Andy Kelsall
Kiril Gerasimov
11:00 Looks like about 65 left.
10:55
Josh Arieh was down to his final 500 and promised the dealer that IF he wins this tournament, he will give her $10,000. He is UTG and goes all in. He gets a caller and a raiser. There is a side pot to vie for now. The caller calls the raise and is also all in. The hands unfold like this:
Josh 8d 7c 9c 9s
Player B A 6 2 3
Player A A 4 9 7
The flop fills Josh's heart with delight as it comes 2s 9h Jd followed by a 2d and a 8s for a full house and he triples up. He asked the dealer if she had the $10 spent already and she said she was going to buy a purse. Josh screeched, A PURSE!!! well, if I win, Ill give you $10 AND a purse.
10:45
Sorry, I had a little technical difficulty, but, it is all groovy now. Looks like we have dropped Vince Burgio, Chris Tsiprailidis, Artie Cobb and Steve Zolotow.
10:15
Jean Robert Bellande didnt have much fire power left and is the latest casualty. The players on on break and we will go to the next level in 15 minutes. Level 9 will be 400/800 blinds with 800/1600 limits.
10PM

JIm Meehan

David Levi
Paul Philips
Mike Sexton
David Williams
Dan Heimiller
Vince Oliver
Raffe Furst
Kristy Gazes
and, not too officially, Barry Greenstein
Now I saw Josh Arieh 1 1/2 hours ago walking slowly away from the tournament area, all possesions in hand. OUT I said to myself from 15 meters ....sorry yards away. However there he was as large as life calling pre-flop in seat 6 on table 5 as I just passed it amoment ago. Back in then , I guess.
15:40:- VERY SLOW
The eliminations in this tournament are going very slowly. The original field of 359 were spread across 37 tables. Originally 10 handed the first outs were filled by a player from each of the ten handed tables. The first of the full tables have only just started to break. The one from each table makes it a bit difficult to track the survival of some players, so here is my definitely out list
Josh Arieh
Greg Raymer
Matt Savage ( he is playing the super satellite )
Maureen Feduniak
Steve Badger - just as i was coming to media room
I think Barry Greenstein - his chips might have been moved and as he now has gone to the PLHE final its a bit hard to tell - more later on that one
OK- The Sheet is out so as I said 359 players , 36 being paid
1. $255,945
2. 132,110
3. 66,055

7. 33,030
8. 24,770
9. 16,515
10-13 9,910
14-16 8,255
17-19 6,605
20-27 4,955
28-36 3,305

12:20 Play Has Begun
On time ( not at 12:20 ) play commenced. There are 36 tables setup with most having seat 5 of 10 left empty. Right up front, this tournament does not have the depth of experience that yesterday's had but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make the money just the same.

Richard Ashby
Steve Badger ( One of my favourite players)

A few final single table satellites are completing to add to what will be a record field. Good information tells me that 15 minutes ago over 225 people had entered. I'll go out and watch everyone taking their seats and tell you who is in shortly.
