Jc comes on the river. Witteles bets 16K and Costa wonders now. Witteles stands for the action and Costa is pretty worried. Costa calls. Witteles hold the QJ and Costa had pocket rockets. That little hand really put the whammo on Costa and has crippled him now.

9:02
Jason Steinhorn earns the button. He raises the blinds and picks them up.

8:59
Button on Eric in seat 2. Folded around to Devon. He raises, and Wong reraises from the cutoff. Hersh reraises again and puts Wong all in. Devon folds. Hersh has Ad 3h and Wong has Jh Ah. The flop is 2c 6d 7c. The turn is a 9d. Adam has to hit a 3 to keep Wong from doubling again. The rive is a 9 and Wong is up to about 80K. Wow for Wong!

8:57
Devon raises and Jason Steinhorn calls. Flop is 8c5c7h. Check check Qd on turn. Devon bets after Jason checks. Jason folds.

8:54:
Adam Hersh holds the button. Wong is all in. Eric calls and has Kh 6s with Wong Ad 7c. The flop gives Wong hope with As 2h 4c. Double up time for Wong if the luck stays. The 9s on the turn gives Wong the pot as Eric is drawing dead and Wong lives to fight another day.

8:53
Devon has the button. Eric Froehlich raises UTG and WIng Wong called. The flop is 4d 7s 6d. Wing Wong checks and Eric bets 8K causing Wong to make a decsion with his short stack. Wong is in deep thought. Eric is grinning. Wong lets it go leaving him about 11K to work with.

8:48
Costa makes a button raise and is called by Adam Hersh in the big blind. The flop is 3h 4s 5h. Hersh checks, Costa bets and Hersh raises and Costa calls. The turn is the 8h. Costa bets after Hersh checks and Costa pulls down the pot.

8:46
The canadian, Devon Armstrong and Adam Hersh are up against each other. THe flop is Ts As 9h. Adam bets, and Devon calls. THe turn is the 2c. THe betting ensues. The Ah falls on the river. Devon bets and Adam raises to 32,000. Devon folds.

8:40
Zelong Dong is all in UTG for 6K. With the blinds sitting at 4K/8K he has to make a move if he has anything at all. Costa calls and Witteles raises and Costa answers. The flop is Kc Jc 4d. The bet is 8K by Witteles followed by a call by Costa. The 6h falls on the turn. Both players get some money in the pot. The Q comes on the river. Costa has A J and Wittles the Q J. Todd wins the pot on the river and sends Zelong Dong home in 10th for $15,925.

8:32
Dong and Witteles get involved in a big pot. The board is showing Qh 6d Jd and after the betting the turn comes 8d. Todd Witteles bet and Zelong Dong raised followed by a reraise by Todd. Dong gave him a call and the river shows 2s. Todd bets 16K and Dong calls. Dong mucks after Todd shows the nut flush.

8:30
Button begins at seat 1, Mr. Wing Wong. Ad Ac Jh on the flop. 7h on the turn with Dong betting 16K, and Froehlich raising. Dong calls and we see a 5c. Eric has A J for a full house and takes the pot.

8:30
Shuffle up and DEAL!

8:17
Brian Mogelefsky moneyed in the WSOP Circuit event in Atlantic City in January 2005. He made 6th in event #7 taking down $15,000. So far, in this event today, he has topped that performance by making the money and earning AT LEAST $15, 925. The next step up would take him to an even higher payout of $28,950.

8:00
We have 2 players and the dealer. Everyone is getting "wired" up and will be seated shortly.

7:00
See ya at 8:00 pst for the final table

6:45 Down to the final 10, we break for dinner. The chip count shakes out about like this:

8 Todd Witteles $ 1354,000
9 Brian Mogelefsky $ 60,000
10 Wing Wong $ 55,000

SEAT ASSIGNMENT

1 Wing Wong
2 Eric Froehlich
3 Jason Steinhorn
4. Christian Van Hees
5 Brian Mogelefsky
6 Todd Witteles
7 Peter Costa
8 Zelong Dong
9 Devon Armstrong
10 Adam Hersh

6:30
Jason Steinhorn has one money finish under his belt and it happened just days ago in the second event of the WSOP $1500 NLHE event. He placed 31st in a gigantic field of 2305 players taking home $11,135. He has already surpassed this amount if he were to be unfortunate enough to drop out at 10th today.

6:05
Michael Spiegel has taken his leave at 11th for $15,925. One more player to bite the dust, and then they will manage a 2 hour break before the televised portion for ESPN commences. This makes Michael's 4th money finish in big events. Witteles beefs up his stack to prepare for tonights final by removing Spiegel from the lineup.

5:58
Looks like Christian Van Hees and Adam Hersh are neck and neck for chip leader. Hard to tell, but, it is a lot of chips to a lot of chips. ON the other end of the spectrum, Wing Wong and Brian Mogelefsky are the shortest stacks and have a lot of work ahead of them to manage through the next couple of rounds.

5:55
After a short break, the players have returned to a hefty 4,000/8,000 blind pushing the limits now to 8,000/16,000. For some it is a matter of one round before hitting the pavement.

5:45
Peter Costa pulled down a 5th place in the Mirage Poker Showdown NLHE event last month for a nice paycheck of $16,891 He also finished in the money at 39th at the Bellagio Five Star World Poker Classic in a field of 472 players.

5:30
12th - Michael Ma - $15,925
Adam Hersh took Michael's QJ down by pulling a 5 out of his hat when holding an A 5.

5:15
Pete Campo was our latest casualty falling at 13th. Since Pete is really a great stud player, he is beginning to show the world he can pull out some great wins in the hold'em world as well. Pete makes $13,030 today for his Limit Hold'em effort.

5:13
Looks Like Van Hees is giving it a run for the money after winning a huge pot and climbing to the top of the heap.

5:02
Although Wing Wong is short stacked, dont count him out. He is a very resourceful player with money finishes in many disciplines.

4:48
Todd Witteless is the apparent chip leader at the moment within about 220K chips with Michael Ma struggling to stay afloat with about 20K or so.

4:26
With another break, the field is down to two sparsely populated tables now. With 13 players, it makes both short handed. But soon, yes soon, we will have our final 9 chosen from these 13.

Wing Wong
Christian Van Hees
Michael Spiegel
Todd Wittles
Jason Steinhorn
Brian Mogelefsky
Devin Armstrong
Michael Ma
Zelong Dong
Peter Costa
Eric Froelich
Adam Hersh
Pete Campo

4:25
Peter Costa has his well rounded stack of 160,000 or so. Wing Wong has a 140,000 and Todd Witteles has about 140,000 after removing Muchnik from the field.

4:20
14th -Farzad Rouhani - $13,030
15th - Mark Muchnik - $13,030

3:52
Just about all the big guns have dropped from the tournament. Amnon Filippi held the door for Annie Duke going out at 17th and $10,135. Is Peter Costa the only remaining "big" name? Seems so as his luck and skill are working to his advantage.

3:48
Unfortunately, no bracelet for Annie. She got tangled up in a nasty one with the big blind and lost a huge amount of chips. Following that she lost all momentum and took 16th for $10,135

3:40
Getting closer to the final.
18th - Joseph Tarabochia - $10,135 Seems pocket jacks actually do hold up sometime, although Joseph had pretty nice suited connectors, 7d8d. Those cards so often become the spoiler for those big pocket pairs

3:35
Annie is still holding her own with about 120K, but Peter Costa has increases his stack to around 150K after his AJ took some chips off Amno Filippi. Christian Van Hees has amassed a lovely count of 120K. Todd Witteles is down to about 40K and struggling to keep afloat.

3:25
After 10 minutes, David "Chino" Rheen takes a permanent break at 19th. He earns the last payout at $7,240

Once again they will re-draw to see who has to sit next to whom.

3:10
Ten minute break Annie added to her chip stack when she demolished Michael Fishman with her A8 against his A4. The flop brought both her cards leaving him high and dry. She now has about 130,000 in chips. Peter Costa had a nice hand increasing his chip count to around 75,000, so, no counting him out just yet.

3:01
Waiting for the 19th player to drop,we move to the last 18 raising the paycheck to $10,135

2:55
20th - Michael Fishman - $7,240

Looks like Annie Duke and Amno Filippi will have to hold the known pro seats down if Peter drops his remaining chips

2:50
21st - Hoa Nguyen - $7,240

Peter Costa is short stacked and has to make a move pretty soon

2:40
Working our way down to two table we have lost

22nd - Roy Cooke - $7,240
23rd - Russell Hendricks - $7,240
24th - Scott Bohlman - $7,240

2:25
For a few chip counts:
Annie Duke - 95K
Roy Cooke - 30K
Peter Costa - 43K
Michael Fishman - 30K
Amnon Filippi - 60K

2:00
Two more out before the break
26th - Sam Lewis - $7,240
25th - David Ma - $7,240

1:45
Robert Tyburski makes it to 28th for the cutoff payoff of $5,065
Behind Robert, David Chiu, who came to the table a bit short today, lost his remaining chips with a K J offsuit and Peter Costa was heads up with an A 5 catching the mighty A on the flop putting David out 27th for this event. He makes $7,240.

Previous to John, we lost:

30th - George Kalaitzis - $5,065
31st - David Cossio - $5,065
32nd - Theodore Park - $5,065
33rd - David Oppenheim -$5,065

John Bonetti came into the day, just 30 short minutes ago with a healthy stack of $77,000 chips and somehow managed to be removed from play by Peter Costa...of course, there were several hands prior that reduced his chip count. From 6th to 29th. He takes home $5,065.
