WSOP Sweepstakes on the PokerPages.com Forum
How to enter -
Just post the name of the player in this thread that you think will win this year's title of World Champion, in the $10,000 main event at the WSOP.
Once the event is over and the new World Champion is crowned, I will give one month free in PokerSchool Online to the first 3 separate posts that name the correct player.
The closing time for the posting will be on Monday 20th May at noon, just before the main event will start.
This PokerPages sweepstake is open to members of PokerSchool as well as non members.
I will try, and I say try to get a list of the players that will participate, but right now it is on a white board and not computerized at the WSOP, so it is a matter of someone writing it down and us typing it in.
Get posting...on the Forum.

We are still awarding Poker Dollars, but this time it is a slightly different system. You play in the Fun Play area and your play in the tournaments is calculated and included in a ranking system (20 games per month).
The top 3 players on the ranking system at the end of the month win, 3 months, 2 months, and 1 month respectively in PokerSchool Online.
For more information on the latest Poker Dollars promotion, click here.
If you are already a PokerSchool member, then you can also participate in the Fun Play tournaments. If you win then, the time will be added onto your existing membership.
Old Poker Dollars Program
If you still have Poker Dollars that you have not yet claimed for tournament play in a live casino, don't worry: They are valid for a year from their issue date. These can be claimed at a casino or cardroom of your choice for a tournament buy in or you can use them for membership time in the PokerSchool.

| Poker Down Under By David Parlor |
The New Zealand Poker Championships have reached their conclusion after a week of some very entertaining poker. The standout tournament player was Melbourne's own Billy "The Croc" Argyros who won two events and was the overall point's winner. Croc appeared that he could do no wrong as I saw him tear apart a pot limit Holdem game, while adding a suitable handle to one of NZ's great poker characters. This was none other than Jamil "The Real Deal" Dia. Of course, credit must be given to the Main Event winner, Matthew Hilger, from the USA who played very well to collect over $16,000 and a 22-carat bracelet donated by Aces Gaming supplies and pokernetwork.com.
The next event on the tournament circuit is The Melbourne Championships, which are again being sponsored by Bruno Distributors Pty Ltd, Australian distributors for San Pellegrino. Tournaments during this week will range from $200 through to the $1,100 teams event that will conclude the Championship. The Teams event is already gaining a lot of momentum as groups from NZ and around Australia have entered and are talking up the interstate rivalry.
For those who are unfamiliar with how this teams event will be conducted, each team member plays one game of the following four games (Limit Hold em, Pot Limit Draw, Pot Limit Omaha & No Limit Hold em). Each of these is a separate tournament with points awarded to teams according to respective places of team members. Prize money will then be paid to individual tournament winners and also for winning teams.
I am sure that this week will be another great week of Poker and look forward to seeing all of our tournament regulars taking their seats and sharpening their skills as we approach the largest event ever to be held in Australia, The Aussie Millions, to be held at Crown Casino in January.
