Allen Kessler

Allen Kessler was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He even stayed there to attend Temple University, and he went on to hold jobs in marketing research with his double degree in marketing and management. During his college years, he began playing poker with friends, and he continued to hone his skills with coworkers at subsequent jobs, eventually finding time to trek to Atlantic City for Omaha and stud games. As he moved up in limits, he met players like Cyndy Violette, John Hennigan, and Phil Ivey. His job as a market research interviewer was stable for nearly a decade, but his poker winnings were beginning to add up. Eventually, though, he took to the no-limit hold’em tournaments and began playing a wide variety of games in Atlantic City as well as Las Vegas. By 2005, he decided to move to Vegas and play poker on a full-time basis. Kessler has one of the most diverse resumes in poker, and he has numerous accomplishments to prove his dedication to the game. He has 20 World Series of Poker cashes, eight of which were in 2010 alone and three of which were final tables through the years. He also has 11 World Poker Tour cashes, two of which were televised final tables - the 2006 WPT Invitational and the 2007 Foxwoods Poker Classic. His wins date back to 2004 in events like the Winnin’ o’ the Green, Festa al Lago, Poker 101, United States Poker Championships, WSOP Circuit, Wynn Classic, Borgata Winter Open, and Bellagio Cup. All of it adds up to more than $2 million in live tournament earnings, and he continues to improve his game and results as he goes.
