Chris Bjorin

Chris Bjorin was born in Sweden but since moved to London, England, where he continues to reside. The notoriously quiet poker player has successfully avoided any spotlight throughout his decades of poker playing, as well as interviews that would give some insight into his early years and foray into poker. Bjorin’s live poker tournament results started appearing in the late 1980’s, and he emerged onto the scene as a player well-versed in a wide variety of games. His first recorded win was in 1990 at the Manx Classic in a no-limit hold’em tournament, but his results showed numerous final tables in everything from stud to Omaha to razz. He also traveled often to the United States, mostly for World Series of Poker events, and cashed numerous times. His second place finishes in 1991 and 1994 left him just short of WSOP victory, but persistence paid off when he took home his first bracelet and $169,200 in 1997 in a pot-limit Omaha event. He also finished in ninth place at the final table of the $10K NLHE Main Event that year. The 2000 WSOP brought him a second bracelet, that time in a $3K NLHE tournament. Through the years, Bjorin has accumulated significant finishes on tours like the World Poker Tour and Professional Poker Tour as well. But it has been the WSOP where he shone the brightest, with a total of 57 cashes at the Las Vegas Series through the years, putting him eighth in the history of the game. Chris Bjorin

Chris Bjorin was born in Sweden but since moved to London, England, where he continues to reside. The notoriously quiet poker player has successfully avoided any spotlight throughout his decades of poker playing, as well as interviews that would give some insight into his early years and foray into poker. Bjorin’s live poker tournament results started appearing in the late 1980’s, and he emerged onto the scene as a player well-versed in a wide variety of games. His first recorded win was in 1990 at the Manx Classic in a no-limit hold’em tournament, but his results showed numerous final tables in everything from stud to Omaha to razz. He also traveled often to the United States, mostly for World Series of Poker events, and cashed numerous times. His second place finishes in 1991 and 1994 left him just short of WSOP victory, but persistence paid off when he took home his first bracelet and $169,200 in 1997 in a pot-limit Omaha event. He also finished in ninth place at the final table of the $10K NLHE Main Event that year. The 2000 WSOP brought him a second bracelet, that time in a $3K NLHE tournament. Through the years, Bjorin has accumulated significant finishes on tours like the World Poker Tour and Professional Poker Tour as well. But it has been the WSOP where he shone the brightest, with a total of 57 cashes at the Las Vegas Series through the years, putting him eighth in the history of the game. Bjorin continues to live a low-profile life in London, playing poker around the world and enjoying sports betting.
