Fabrice Soulier
Fabrice Soulier was born on April 23, 1969 in Avignon, France. He pursued his education through university, where he obtained a degree in international relations. Dreams of the film industry took him into a job as an assistant film director, and he eventually became the director of an award-winning TV series, among others, through the year 2000. But it was about that time that he was pulled in a different direction. Poker had been a long-time favorite game for Soulier, and his experience came from games at the Aviation Club in Paris and online poker, and he had regularly won tournaments and final tabled events that helped his bankroll. He ultimately quit his media job and moved to the United States to play poker full-time. Spending time in New York and Las Vegas, he quickly built a bankroll commensurate with his poker skills and became a well-liked player on the circuit. His first big US cash came at the Jack Binion World Poker Open in 2002, finishing in second for nearly $42K, though he was still trekking back to Europe where he final tabled the Euro Finals of Poker Championship. In the States, he began to play World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour events, even making a WSOP final table in 2005 for more than $103K and making a televised WPT final table in 2006. His deep runs continued with several more WSOP final tables, as well as the 2010 Partouche Poker Tour Main Event in Cannes. It has all accumulated to more than $2.5 million in live tournament earnings. His love of poker, as well as his own online poker magazine, continue to take him around the world in search of his big victory.
