Jack Binion

Jack Binion is a name that everyone will associate with Poker and the birth of the WSOP which was started back in 1970 by his Father Benny. Jack's fame grew following that first WSOP event and it quickly became the World Largest Poker event and under the ownership of Harrah's now continues to be. In 1998 there was a legal battle for control of The Horseshoe among Benny Binions heirs and Jack sold his share to his sister Becky. Jack went on to forum Horseshoe Gaming Corp which developed several riverboat casinos which he then sold to Harrah's in 2004. Jack was inducted into the American Gaming Associations Gaming Hall of Fame on June 2004. The following year on July 6, the World Series of Poker inducted him into the Hall of Fame. In July 06 he became the Chairman of Wynn International and opened the Wynn Macau. He has since resigned and remains on in a consulting roll.
