Jack Strauss was born on June 16th 1930 and he died in August 1988. He was an all American professional poker player. He won the WSOP in 1982. The well known poker phrase a chip and a chair was due to him winning that event when he was at one time down to only a single $500 chip and was known then for pulling off one of the best bluffs in poker history.
