Joseph Cheong

Saguhyon Cheong was born in Seoul, South Korea, but his family immigrated to the United States when he was only 6 years old. They moved to La Mirada, California, and he went to school and studied hard which lead to eventually gaining two degrees from the University of California at San Diego - one bachelors degree in psychology and another in a double major of mathematics and economics. It was during his college years with his new name of Joseph that he began playing poker with his friends and online. He very quickly accrued a substantial bankroll from his online play and then moved into the live world of poker but didnt find success immediately. He cashed at events at the Deep Stack at the Venetian and also at the WSOP circuit events. He decided to go to the WSOP 2010 and this has greatly paid off as he now sits at the final table and makes history as one of the November 9.
