Men Nguyen

Men "The Master" Nguyen is known not only for his incredible skill at the card table, but using that skill and the money that comes from it to help others. He frequently donates to charities in his home country, Vietnam, and is known for being extremely willing to help guide newcomers to the game of poker.

At the age of 13 Men "The Master" dropped out of school to drive a bus to help support his family. He and 87 refugees fled the communist country in 1978, finding asylum in the U.S.

Men worked as a machinist, earning just $10 a day. Then, in 1985, Men attended a junket to Las Vegas where he played $15-$30 Stud. Although losing intially, his interest was sparked. Less than a week later, Men returned and beat the game.

Since winning his first major tournament in 1987, Men "The Master" has been regarded as one of the most skilled, composed, and successful professionals in the game today.
