Michael Kinney

Born in Ketchikan, Alaska & raised on Prince of Wales Island in the small logging town of Thorne Bay. Mike grew up fishing, trapping & hunting in the small tight knit community of 400 people. While in High School, Mike enrolled in a carpentry trade school, eventually winning the Alaska State Carpentry Contest. In 1987, after serving in the National Guard, Mike began his career in construction. Kinney Construction Co was formed in 1990 and Mike moved to Sandpoint, Idaho shortly thereafter where he currently resides with his family. Mike got the "gambling bug" as a child during regular visits to his grandparents home in Reno, Nevada where he would play blackjack with them before they left for a night out on the town. Mike's biggest accomplishment in the "poker world" (so far) was winning a WPT main event in 2004.
