Michael Mizrachi

Born on January 5, 1981 in North Miami Beach, Florida, one of 4 boys who were taught to play poker with the family at a young age. He grew up wanting to become a medical doctor, started playing poker at the age of 13, and eventually dropped out of college to play full time. Michael Mizrachi's biggest win to date was first place in the LA Poker Classic / WPT Event Season 3 (Feb. 2005), where he was victorious in the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Main event - worth $1,859,909 in prize money.

Michael Mizrachi

Michael Mizrachi's biggest win to date was first place in the LA Poker Classic / WPT Event Season 3 (Feb. 2005), where he was victorious in the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Main event - worth $1,859,909 in prize money.

Poker seems to run in the Mizrachi family; His brother, Robert, is also quite successful and has several in-the-money tournament finishes. Mizrachi is known as "The Grinder" for his solid consistent playing style, which isn't flashy, but which seems to win the money more often than not. He has had tremendous success at the live poker table and this year is no exception when he entered the main event of the 2010 WSOP. Michael made the final table and now joins the other 8 players to be part of the historical November 9 for 2010
