Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth dropped out of the University of Wisconsin to pursue a poker career. His phenomenal WSOP run over the past 19 years all started in 1988, when he placed fifth in a Seven-Card Stud High-Low tournament. He won the main event the following year, the youngest player in history to do so – at age 24. He is also one of only three players in history to win three gold bracelets within a single year. He holds a record which is unlikely and perhaps impossible to break – three consecutive WSOP wins in three consecutive days (April 26-28, 1993). He has been one of the most successful players of the last twenty years. “Hellmuth” has become a bona fide trademark – representing to poker what Tiger Woods is to golf and Michael Jordan was to basketball.

Poker Players I Respect Most: Ted Forrest has a great heart and plays great poker, Johnny Chan plays great poker and manages to spend time with his six children, Annie Duke is a huge family person and shes manages to play great poker as well. I like the poker players that keep their priorities right.
If I could change anything in the world: I would like everyone in the world to truly 'see the good' in everyone else. I believe that if that were the case, then we wouldn't have wars, murders and cruelty anymore. I am not denominational in my religous choices, but I believe that Buddha had it right when he told his followers, 'It is important to see the good in everyone.' I have a really long way to go in my life to get to where I would like to be, but when I am at my best I am able to see the good even in some of the slimiest poker players out there. It's just really hard for me when other peolpe beat me with sleeper hands when i think I'm the only one allowed to play those two cards. It's really for hard for me to understand why people do not just respect me at the table any more, and just fold when they have the nutz. Sometimes it is hard, but I can always find something good in them eventually.
If I could change anything in the poker world: I would like to find a way to make the general public understand poker. I believe that if the public understood poker, then it would become 'bigger than golf' worldwide. I mean anyone of any age (John Bonetti-71, Daniel Negreanu-25), sex, religion, race or nationality can play and enjoy this game. Physical prowess is not required in poker. You can use your mind to participate in poker.

"I expect great things to happen to me," Phil says. And they have. He is the first player ever to win 11 gold bracelets at the World Series of Poker, along with five top-ten finishes in World Poker Tour events.
Phil is perhaps best known for his caustic table image, needling his opponents and frequently acting out in the event of a bad-beat. "The Poker Brat," they call him.
Regardless of his table image, one cannot escape Phil Hellmuth's track record. In addition to have won over $7,000,000 in lifetime tournament earnings, Phil has multiple endorsement deals, books, and merchandise, making him perhaps the best-known face in poker.
