Raymond Rahme
Raymond Rahme is the first person ever to appear at the final table of the 2007 WSOP main event from the continent of Africa .At age 62, he is also the senior participant at the final table.
He is married to his wife Teresa, and together they have five children. Prior to his retirement, Rahme owned and operated a bed and breakfast inn.
Although he played stud for three decades, Rahme has only been playing the game of hold'em for about two years. Yet, Rahme has already enjoyed significant tournament success.
He's taken first and second place at major events held in South Africa. He also took fourth place in the "All Africa Poker Championship" recently, which was the largest poker tournament ever held in Africa. As part of his prize, he received a travel package to Las Vegas and an entry into the WSOP 2007 main event, where he ended 3rd and took home $3,048,025 in prize money. After he returned to South Africa from the WSOP he won a Tournament at Gold Reef city Casino 2 days after being back. He then won the first million Tourney at Emporios Palace Casino, 2weeks later he won the second chance Tourney (R250,000) at the All Africa in Swaziland, he had a go at the All Africa again and came 3rd, pesisting three months later again at the All Africa, this time he eventualy won it( R1,1 milion ) In 2008 he went to the AUSSIE Millions and came 46th then 42nd in San Remo and 27th in Monte carlo.Returning to South Africa and placing a few times in the local Casino's
