Tony Collier
Tony "The Llama" Collier has been playing poker since his weekly Monday night game in college during the early 1990's. He has been a club pro since 2000, earning a living playing 15-30 and 30-60 limit hold'em at Canterbury Park in Minnesota. He has made over $100,000 in tournament winnings and has made good cashes in the LA Poker Classic & The Mini Series of Poker and tons of online events. His best performance at the World Series of Poker was a 53 place finish in 2001... unfortunately they only paid 45 in that event. The "Llama" nickname stuck on a night when he won a large sum of money in a ring game at Canterbury Park while wearing a hideously ugly shirt which one fellow player said looked a lot like a dead llama. Tony kept the nickname for luck.

36 Single None Casually in College at Oklahoma State - Professionally at Canterbury Park, Minnesota in 2000 No Limit Hold'em - Live Gold Bracelets are the only measure of greatness. My goal is to win 10 of them. And, eventually, I would love to make the hall of Fame. Movies, Writing (Internet Film Critic - TC Candler), Travelling, Pool, Golf. I am a Sports Fanatic... love to watch and play virtually any sport you can name. The Shawshank Redemption, Casablanca, Pulp Fiction, Schindler's List, Eyes Wide Shut Trance Paris, Goodison Park... And the WSOP room on opening day. Dan Marino, Sean Connery, Natalie Portman, Bill Clinton, Roger Ebert, Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller Phil Hellmuth for his relentless confidence.
Tony Hartmann for honesty and determination.
Steve "Gully" Gulseth because I can't beat him.
Chris Ferguson because I can't get a read on him.
Jeff Whitson for his analysis and knowledge.
Scotty Nguyen for his demeanor.
Jim Meehan for reminding me why I play poker.
John Olson for his desire.
Doc at Canterbury for his laughs and patience.
Daniel Negreanu for his tirelessness.
Doyle Brunson for paving the way.
Stu Ungar for perfecting the game. Unintelligent and mean people would not be rewarded in life as much as they seem to be. I don't like how much injustice there is in this world. There absolutely has to be a pro tour along the lines of the golf and tennis tours, complete with full corporate sponsorship. It should be performance based so that not just anyone can play the tour. Also, the Main Event is getting out of hand and I think that the World Championship should require a higher buy-in and some pre-requisite qualifications (a bracelet, POY points, tour earnings etc). Also, the payouts need to be flattened even more in this day and age. And finally, LIVE TV coverage instead of tape delayed broadcasts.
