Don Rubenstein

Claim to fame is that I am a former pga tour caddy who just did not like life on the road. Even so, working as a tour caddy led me to the path way where I have been blessed to touch most every dream I ever had as a child. as a caddy, I also worked for abc sports in golf productions (during events we could not caddy in) and had the extreme honor of working along the side of the greats like chris schenkel, dave marr, byron nelson, henry longhurst, keith jackson and many others. Golf provided me the oppurtunity to be in many historic time spots. Money could never pay for the incredible experiences I have had because of golf.

I left golf in 1984 and started my business, dr soda with $350. Dr Soda is now a multi million $$$ enterprise.

Unfortunately, I had to stop playing golf in 1998 and found poker that very same week. No doubt one of the 5 best things that has ever happened to me. What poker has done for me is an endless list of great success at and away from the poker table.

I am also an alumni of the WPT book camp of which I can only say was an absolutely incredible life changing experience.

I am truly blessed.

If I could change anything in the world: Come up with some sort of different way to elect federal representatives so that there will be no more members of the bush family to serve as president of the united states.
If I could change anything in the poker world: One universal rule book backed up by a universal book of decision just as there is in golf. Add a professional association for tournament directors and floor personnel that encourages them to know and be tested in these books, just as the pga is set up for club pros and apprentices.
