A native of Bethel, New York, Jay Heimowitz started playing poker for baseball cards as young as nine years old. He went into the army as a young man, and when he left at age 21 he had earned around $10,000 from his fellow soldiers. That $10k went towards the building of a beer and bottling company for which he worked for 80 hours a week until being granted a Budweiser distributorship just two years later. Known for his pleasant demeanor and respectful nature both on and off the table, Jay has six World Series of Poker bracelets and over $1.5 million in prize money to his credit.
