Maria Ho first learned how to play poker through home games with her friends almost 5 years ago. Since then she has graduated from the University of California, at San Diego with a major in Communications and a minor in Law. After she graduated she decided to take up poker as her profession.

Last year she became the last woman standing in the World Series of Poker 2007 Main Event, finishing in 38th place. Lately she has spent considerably less time playing poker and more time pursuing other passions and interests.

She enjoys anything and everything that drives her competitive nature, and has always found a knack for card games.
