Stu UngarLegend. One word to sum up the life and career of arguably the best no-limit hold'em player of all time. While the tale of Stuey's rise and fall is a sad one, the legend of his skill and passion for the game cannot be forgotten. Stuey took the world by storm when he won back-to-back World Series of Poker championships in 1980 and 1981. It would be sixteen years before he took first in the main event again. In the time between Stuey struggled with drug addiction, a problem that eventually proved to be his downfall. Stuey wasn't just a poker icon - he is widely regarded as having been the best gin player ever to have lived. His play was - is - the stuff of true legend. For more, please see our in-depth article on Stuey, written by WPT spokesman and friend of Stuey, Mike Sexton. Click here for the article.
