James D CampbellJames "POKERPRO33" Campbell, the married 25-year-old poker player from Worcester, Massachusetts wasn't always one of the biggest forces in online poker. Armed with a degree in finance, Campbell's business card read "financial planner" for six months prior to discovering a better way to make money with numbers. After finishing first and third in two tournaments one random Sunday for a combined win of $50,000-a figure greater than his yearly salary at work-Campbell made the decision to switch careers. Campbell cites leaving his career in financial planning to pursue a fulltime poker career as one of the biggest risks he's ever taken. A review of his accomplishments reveals that this particular risk has paid off. In 2007, Campbell earned approximately $500,000 playing professional poker, including $200,000 in an online tournament that featured over 7000 players. Since starting his career in poker, POKERPRO33 has won over $200,000 in live tournaments and millions of dollars in online tournaments.
