Kelli Griggs

Kelli Griggs began playing poker as a hobby in 2006 where on a whim she flew to Las Vegas to play a few events at the World Series of Poker. She cashed in her very first tournament to win a seat into the $1000 Ladies event where she cashed 59/1128. She loved the game and began to pursue it with great passion playing as often as her schedule would allow. She won her second major tournament out lasting 419 women to earn the WPT Ladies Poker Party Championship ring, the cash & coveted WPT Ladies Night invitation to play against the top grossing WPT Ladies. With confidence, she began playing mixed events where she continues to refine her skills and cash. She is most proud of her 2/662 in an LAPC event in 2007.

Kelli has assisted with live hand analysis for the World Series of Poker Academy and is a freelance writer.

Kelli lives in Northern California with her husband Jeff and two daughters Gabriela and Sophia. When you ask her what her biggest challenge is she will honestly tell you, “Being a mother and finding time for poker! I love the game but my kids deserve a mommy. I wish I could play more but they are my first priority.”
