Andre Coimbra Tops List of Top Five Team PokerStars Online Players
#5 – Bachir 'Chiren80' Boumaâza.
If confidence and self belief could be measured in dollars, this guy would be a multi-millionaire now. And he may yet get there: our number five slot goes to professional computer gamer Bachir 'Chiren80' Boumaâza. He once provoked a flurry of media speculation after announcing that he would be the next WCOOP winner, but while this has yet to happen, he has soared through the ranks of the PokerStars VIP program and banked thousands of dollars simply through his prolific play.
#4 – Matthew Didlick
Next in at Number 4 we nominate a young man from Shrewsbury in the UK. Matthew Didlock, who plays for Team PokerStars Online under the name of 'chipstar 1', is regularly to be seen on a huge range of tables, but specializes in the smaller stakes end of the spectrum. He is breaking into online poker tournaments, too, and we think he is one to watch.
#3 – Kristian Martin
Our number 3 position goes to a talented young German, known to followers of the cash games on PokerStars as 'CharismA3'. His real name is Kristian Martin, and he has been playing on PokerStars since he was just 18 years old. Climbing up through the ranks like most self-taught pros, this young math graduate from Hamburg University is set to rise and rise, recently finishing 12th in the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP).
#2 – Thomas “Boku87” Boekhoff
Our runner up is a young man who only began playing poker a few years ago on a miniscule bankroll provided by a friend. Today, Thomas 'Boku87' Boekhoff is a highly respected member of Team PokerStars online, showing an unerring (and unnerving) ability to meet all the targets he sets himself. His bankroll shot past $100,000 in May 2010, and he is growing in stature as a tournament player.
