WPT Enterprises Sells Assets Including World Poker Tour to Gamynia for $9m Late yesterday, WPT Enterprises Inc. (WPTE), which owns the World Poker Tour (WPT), dispelled the recent rumor that bwin was going to acquire WPTE by announcing that Gamynia Limited has agreed to acquire substantially all of the Company's operating assets other than cash, investments and certain excluded assets. Gamynia, a company which forms part of a privately held investment group, will pay the Company $9,075,000 plus a percentage of future revenues earned by Gamynia from the World Poker Tour and Professional Poker Tour brands.

Departure of PVOA Head Won't Affect California Online Poker Bill's Passage Jim Tabilio, President and founder of Poker Voters of America (PVOA), has resigned to become a private sector lobbyist on gaming legislation and policy, returning to his roots as a political consultant. His departure leaves the non-profit lobbying organization temporarily without a head. According to EGRmagazine, the PVOA board expects to name Tabilio's successor within the next two months.
