WPT Vienna Set for Tour Stop at Vienna's Montesino Casino
The beautiful capital city of Austria plays host to the World Poker Tour event, the WPT Vienna. The Main Event runs from the 23rd March until 29th March at the Montesino, one of Europe’s finest casinos and the most exclusive in Vienna.
This is the first time that the WPT has stopped over in Vienna and gives the best of Austria’s poker player the chance to pit their wits against some top players from around the world. The Main Event is a No Limit Hold’em tournament divided over four days. The buy-in is €3,200 and the entry fee is €300.
Proceedings begin on Friday 25th March at 13:00 CET with the first half of the draw. The second group of players get going on Saturday at 13:00 CET. The players who win through will come together on Sunday 27th at 13:00 CET, day three survivors play on Monday at 13:00 CET with the final table battle commencing on Tuesday 29th, once again from 13:00 CET.
Another highlight of the schedule is the WPT Vienna High Rollers event. This NLHE tournament has a €9,600 buy-in and €400 entry fee. It is sure to attract some of the top players from Europe and across the world.
There is a two-day No Limit event to kick the schedule off on Wednesday 23rd March at 17:00 CET. The buy-in is €300 and an entry fee of €40. A similar event rounds things off, starting on Monday 28th March, this time with a €500 buy-in and €50 entry.
