$1 Million Poker Tourney to be Hosted Oct. 24 by Trump Taj Mahal

There will be One Million US Dollars in cash on the table in the poker room of the Trump Taj Mahal after ten players buy in for at least $100,000 each, when the Trump Taj Mahal hosts the largest cash poker game in Atlantic City, New Jersey USA, beginning at 7:00 PM on October 24, 2007.

Although security will be high, the public is invited to view the event live as it is taped for television.

The Million Dollar No Limit Texas Holdem cash game is part of a four-day series of events sponsored by the Executive Poker Tour, whose goal is to promote awareness of Project Lifesaver International, a 501(c)3 charity.

Wealthy business executives, charity supporters, and poker players will compete for cash in a series of poker tournaments. Click here to view a complete schedule of their events.

Preliminary tournaments and satellites start October 24. The main event begins Friday, October 26 and will also be filmed for broadcast at a later date.

Several notable poker players and multi-millionaire business owners have been invited to play in the Million Dollar game, including Rhett Butler, 2006 World Series of Poker fifth place finisher, whose lifetime tournament winnings are in excess of $3.3 million.

The first hand is scheduled to be dealt at 7:00 PM October 24. Play is expected to last until at 2:00 AM.

The Trump Taj Mahal Poker Parlor is one of the largest poker rooms in Atlantic City with poker games that include: 7 Card Stud, Omaha and the game that has taken the nation by storm, Texas Hold 'em. Players can enjoy table-side food service, free poker instructions for beginners and an exclusive high-limit section.
