Amanda Leatherman is World Poker Tour VII's New Live Updates HostessFri, Jul 11th, 2008 @ 12:00am Fans of the World Poker Tour (WPT) will notice a new face online delivering reports of live tournament action from the poker room floor, starting with the Bellagio Cup IV which gets underway July 11. Seasoned tournament reporter Amanda Leatherman will take the reigns as WPT Season VII Live Updates Hostess, delivering up to-the minute action, and behind-the-scenes look at life on the tournament trail, player interviews, blogs, video updates and more.
Since reporting her first tournament in 2006, rhe WPT Season IV LAPC, Amanda has reported from almost every high caliber poker tournament including three seasons of WPT, the 2007 and 2008 Aussie Millions, 2006 and 2008 NBC Heads Up, the 2008 European Poker Tour Grand Finals and three seasons of World Series of Poker. Continuing her career with Poker Road Radio, Amanda can also be seen hosting online video columns The Poker Mind and Destination Unknown as well as providing the Daily News Brief. "I'm a poker player and have been for quite a while now," Amanda said, "so I am very comfortable talking about hands and strategies. Plus I know a lot of the regulars on tour and it'll be a lot of fun to talk with them on the webcam." In addition to welcoming a new Live Updates hostess, WPT is currently in discussions with candidates for the television hostess role. In the future, fans will see a new integration of the TV hostess role for Season VII production of World Poker Tour.

Two-time WPT champion Freddy Deeb brings the chip lead along with the benefit of his under-the-lights experience into Monday's televised final table. Deeb previously won the WPT Season III Aruba Poker Classic and the Season VII Celebrity Invitational. He also owns two World Series bracelets and has amassed over $6 million in tournament winnings.
