Bodog Announces Inaugural Bodog Poker Open

Following in the footsteps of the very successful Full Tilt Oline Poker Series and Pokerstars World Championship of Online Poker, Bodog looks to hand out some hardware in the innaugural Bodog Poker Open. The six tournament series begins March 3rd with the $270 NL event and culminates with the $500 NL Main Event on the 9th.

BPO Schedule:

Event #1 - March 3rd - No-Limit $250+20

Event #2 - March 4th - NL 6-Handed $300+25

Event #3 - March 5th - Rebuy (NL) $100+10

Event #4 - March 6th - Pot-Limit $200+15

Event #5 - March 7th - Limit $150+10

Event #6 - March 9th - NL Main Event $470+30

Bodog will be adding $10,000 to the prize pools in each of the first five events. Another $25,000 will be tossed into the Main Event pool, along with an engraved Omega Speed Master Watch to the player crowned the first-ever Bodog Poker Open Champion.

Satellites are currently running for those looking to win their seat into any BPO events.

Jeffrey Sandman, spokesperson for the Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative, issued a statement that appeals to Kentucky Governor Steve Beshar to stop the court case to seize 141 online gambling domain names (including those for major online poker sites as Bodog, CakePoker, Full Tilt Poker, Ultimate Bet, and PokerStars).
