Borgata Poker Open: $5 Million Guaranteed Prize Pool, September 3-18

Gearing up for the sixth annual Borgata Poker Open, which culminates with the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship event September 14-18, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa conducted its first-ever Borgata Poker Open VIP Access super-satellite event on Sunday. The $1,000 buy-in + $100 entry No Limit Hold'em event awarded one in every twenty-five participants a $25,000 VIP Access Prize Package, consisting of $15,000 in cash and a $10,000 seat into the Borgata Poker Open- WPT Championship, which, for the first time ever, Borgata is guaranteeing a $5 million prize pool.

A crowd of over 239 players entered the Borgata Poker Open VIP Access super satellite tournament, with nine winners receiving their chance to capture the coveted WPT championship title in September's Borgata Poker Open, along with $15,000 in cash.

The winners of the $25,000 VIP Access Packages, along with their hometowns, are as follows:

  • SUN CHA (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ)
  • EDWARD SYRE (DREXEL HILL, PA)
  • WILLIAM MURRAY (HILLSDALE, NJ)
  • DAVID WEISBERGER (FAR HILLS, NJ)
  • BRENT MCTAGGART (TOMS RIVER, NJ)
  • ANTHONY SALERNO (HOWELL, NJ)
  • GARRY HENRICKS (CHESAPEAKE, VA)
  • ROBERT MCCULLOUGH (KESWICK, VA)
  • RICHARD HALL (BRISTOW, VA)
  • In addition, ALVIN DELGADO (MORRIS PLAINS, NJ) won a $10,000 Entry into WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship Event and GYORGY JUSCSAK (NEW YORK, NY) took home $4,000 Cash.
