Calgary Hosts March 5 Ultimate Players Party for Poker PlayersTue, Mar 4th, 2008 @ 12:00am A launch party for the 2008 Canadian Open Poker Championships will be held March 5 in Calgary Alberta Canada, and is being called the 'Ultimate Players Party' for poker players. The party, which begins at 7:00 pm sharp, will be held at the Snatch Rock n' Roll Lounge in Calgary. It will feature an intimate performance with singer Suzie McNeil, who gained notoriety as the runner up on the reality television show Rock Star INXS and is nominated as the 2008 New Artist of the Year at this years Juno Awards. Also, the party will be hosted by the girls from sponsors Coors Light, Maxim Magazine and HeadsUp Entertainment. Actress and poker player Jennifer Tilly is confirmed to attend. The party will also be attended by poker pros Phil 'the Unabomber' Laak, Antonio 'The Magician' Esfandiari, 'Yukon' Brad Booth and 1996 World Series of Poker Main Event winner Huckleberry Seed. HeadsUp Entertainment's president and CEO Kelly B. Kellner boasted that this will be a night like Calgary has never seen, with some of Canada's most beautiful women, international celebrities, poker pros and phenomenal entertainment in attendance, saying this is a must attend event and a rare opportunity to attend a Maxim party!
