Commerce Hosts Annual Holiday Poker Tournament

ANNUAL HOLIDAY BONUS TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF AT COMMERCE CASINO
Commerce, CA (10/22/07) - Would a little extra cash help make your holiday season bright? Does the thought of spending hours and hours with relatives make you want to horde some "me" time now? Commerce Casino can help poker players accomplish both goals with the annual Holiday Bonus Tournament kicking off the first week in November.
The Holiday Bonus Tournament, which includes both Limit and No-Limit Hold'em games, has been running at Commerce Casino for nearly 15 years as a way to provide players a little relief and fun prior to the hectic holiday season. From a 10-day event, the tournament has grown to become a 17-day challenge with a prize pool of nearly $1 million at stake. More than 5,100 contestants participated last year.
The 2007 Holiday Bonus Tournament starts Nov. 2 with a $335 buy-in, No-Limit Hold'em event. One of the featured games this year is a $335 buy-in, No-Limit Hold'em event with multiple re-buys starting Nov. 4. There is a $200,000 guarantee on this event, but last year the prize pool turned out to be nearly $390,000.
A Turbo event will also take place this year, starting Nov. 10, showcasing six-player tables and shortened rounds that give people a chance to practice final table skills. The following day, Nov. 11, Commerce hosts a $335 buy-in, No-Limit Hold'em event with $15,000 added by the Casino.
These special tournaments in November at Commerce Casino wrap up Nov. 17 with the 2 p.m. start of the Holiday Bonus Championship Event. This two-day event has grown to become a $2,590 buy-in, No-Limit Hold'em competition.
One table satellites will begin Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. in the Commerce Casino ballroom. The full schedule for the Holiday Bonus Tournament is as follows:

Nov. 8: Limit Hold'em -- $335 buy-in
Nov. 9: Ladies No-Limit Hold'em -- $335 buy-in
Nov. 10: No-Limit Hold'em Turbo -- $335 buy-in
Nov. 11: No-Limit Hold'em $15,000 Added -- $335 buy-in
Nov. 12: No-Limit Hold'em -- $545 buy-in
Nov. 13: No-Limit Hold'em -- $335 buy-in (two optional rebuys)
Nov. 14: No-Limit Hold'em -- $545 buy-in
Nov. 15: No-Limit Hold'em -- $335 buy-in
Nov. 16: No-Limit Hold'em Shootout -- $335 buy-in

The start time for all events is 7 p.m., except for the Holiday Bonus Championship Event.
