EPT adds Poker Event in Warsaw PolandSat, Jan 6th, 2007 @ 12:00am The European Poker Tour (EPT) has just added another exciting destination: Warsaw Poland, March 14-17, just before the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo. The four-day Texas Hold'em event will take place at the Hyatt Regency in Warsaw. It has a $15,000 Polish Zlotych (PLN) buy-in (approximately 4,000 pounds or US$3,000). Registration will be capped at 300 players and will not be televised. EPT CEO John Duthie told media that EPT's first event in Warsaw will certainly help raise the profile of poker in eastern Europe. Last season, the EPT paid out more than $12 million to participants. Already this year, the tour has paid out more than $10 million, and there are still the following five events remaining! Next is the Scandinavian Open January 17-21 in Copenhagen Denmark, at the Casino Copenhagen (Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel). Then the French Open is at the Deauville Casino February 21-24 in Deauville, France. Germany hosts the EPT Dortmund event March 8-11 at the Casino Hohensyburg. Warsaw's March 14-17 event comes next, followed by the Grand Final on March 28 to April 1, 2007 at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort in Monoco.
