Finnish Poker Star Patrik Antonius Signs with Poker RoyaltyMon, Mar 17th, 2008 @ 12:00am Finnish poker professional Patrik Antonius, one of the poker industry's breakout young players as a well respected high-stakes online and live cash game player, has signed a worldwide poker marketing representation contract with prominent agency Poker Royalty, which will cover major platforms, including media, sponsorship, licensing, commercial endorsements and appearances. 27 year-old Antonius has demonstrated his poker prowess by making final table television appearances on the World Poker Tour (WPT), European Poker Tour (EPT), and the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Antonius has also been featured on NBC's Poker after Dark and on GSN's High Stakes Poker. Patrik can often be found playing in the high-stakes "big game" at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, competing against high-stakes players like Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Sammy Farha, David Benyamine and Jennifer Harman. In making the announcement, Chris Porter, Director of Sales and Marketing, Poker Royalty, said, "Patrik is one of those rare combinations of natural abilities, looks and raw talent that can transcend the game of poker. Add Poker Royalty's resources and core business relationships, and Patrik will be an even brighter star on the tour and off." Antonius said, "Poker Royalty works with some of the biggest names in poker, creating for them the kind of opportunities no other company can provide. I am very excited about the new relationship with Poker Royalty." Patrik has won over $2.6 million in career tournament winnings, which ranks him in the Top 100 on the All-Time Money List. Antonius ranks as Finland's all-time leading tournament money winner and ranks fourth amongst Scandinavian players, behind Gus Hansen, Chris Bjorin and Martin De Knijff.
