James "POKERPRO33" Campbell is Newest Star Poker Player at UltimateBet

UltimateBet just announced that James "POKERPRO33" Campbell will join Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy on its month-old Star Players team, where he will play online poker under the name POKERPRO33 and will be featured in a variety of future promotions on the site.

"UltimateBet is now home to a couple of online poker's most talented and most respected players," stated Annie Duke, UltimateBet's Cardroom Consultant. "Our growing Star Players team is proof that UltimateBet is in a class of its own."

The married 25-year-old poker player from Worcester, Massachusetts wasn't always one of the biggest forces in online poker. Armed with a degree in finance, Campbell's business card read 'financial planner' for six months prior to discovering a better way to make money with numbers.

After finishing first and third in two tournaments one random Sunday for a combined win of $50,000, a figure greater than his yearly salary at work, Campbell made the decision to switch careers.

Campbell cites leaving his career in financial planning to pursue a fulltime poker career as one of the biggest risks he's ever taken. A review of his accomplishments reveals that this particular risk has paid off.

In 2007, Campbell earned approximately $500,000 playing professional poker, including $200,000 in an online tournament that featured over 7000 players. Since starting his career in poker, POKERPRO33 has won over $200,000 in live tournaments and millions of dollars in online tournaments.

In May, UltimateBet signed Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy and created the new division of players reserved for those who possess a high level of skill, exhibit lots of integrity and are well respected in the world of online poker. Like Josephy, Campbell is one of poker's most revered players.
