Justin Bonomo Enriches Team Bodog Poker with Signing

Team Bodog was enriched this week with the addition of poker pro Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo as their newest member, especially as the 22-year-old has already passed the $1 million mark for career earnings, and looks like he is only beginning.

The Los Angeles area resident joins fellow Team Bodog pros David Williams, Evelyn Ng and Jean-Robert Bellande to represent Bodog online as well as at major televised tournaments, including the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas starting May 30.

Justin Bonomo "Justin is one of the most feared and skilled players in poker today and we're thrilled to officially have him join our team of world-class poker pros," noted Morris Mohawk Gaming Group CEO Alwyn Morris. "Justin lives and breathes the Bodog lifestyle and is a perfect fit for us. We expect him to make a lot of noise this year for Team Bodog, beginning with the WSOP this summer."

Bonomo burst upon the international poker scene and stole the spotlight when in 2005 at the EPT French Open in Deauville, France, he became the youngest player to ever make a televised final table at 19 years, 5 months and 20 days. He turned his sights onto US poker after he turned 21, making four final tables at the 2006 Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, including a seventh place finish in the WPT championship event (click here for a run down of his cash wins).

Most recently, Bonomo made the final tables of the 2007 Caesars Palace Classic Main Event in October, the 2008 WPT Borgata Winter Open this past January and the 2008 WSOP Circuit event at Caesars Palace earlier this week.

Bonomo showed the breadth of his skills at last year's WSOP by becoming the youngest player left standing in the prestigious $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. event at the 2007 World Series of Poker. He also finished second in the $3,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. event at the 2007 WSOP Circuit Event at Caesars Palace.

"I'm extremely excited about joining the select ranks of Team Bodog pros and becoming an ambassador for the Bodog brand alongside David, Evy and Jean-Robert. I know each of them personally and have tremendous respect for them," Bonomo said. "I'm ready to start things off right by having a big WSOP this summer and hopefully bringing home a gold bracelet for Team Bodog. I'm also looking forward to meeting up with other poker players from around the world at Bodog's online poker tables."
