Lock Poker Announces Signing of Jason Young, 'Rizen' and Six Other Pros

by PokerPages.com
Wed, Aug 5th, 2009 @ 12:00am

Lock Poker has announced the signing of seven pros, highlighted by Poker Pages blogger and WSOP bracelet winner Jason Young and 2007 Main Event final tabler Lee Childs. Online and live tournament veteran Eric 'Rizen' Lynch was also announced as VP of Product Development.

"One of the most exciting aspects and driving forces behind me joining Lock Poker was getting an opportunity to have an impact on the business direction of the company," said Lynch. "Accepting the position of VP of Product Development will allow me to really create the room for the player."

Joining the aformentioned trio in the Lock Poker stable are pros Mike 'GoLeafsGoEh' Leah, Matt 'AllInat420' Stout, Joe 'JoeytheB' Brooks, Kyle 'kwob20' Bowker and Jonathan Jaffe. Each of the new Lock Poker pros, as well as Lynch, are represented by Poker Players International (PPI), the world's largest poker agency.

"Lock truly wants to create a partnership with its pro players and was willing to go beyond traditional industry measures to create a phenomenal package for these guys," said PPI Agency Leader Randy Kasper. "I think the poker world is going to be blown away by Lock's plans for these players."

Poker Pages' very own Jason Young is the lone bracelet winner in the stable, earning his gold in Event #17 of the 2008 WSOP, a $1,500 NL Shootout. Check out Jason's latest blog right here. Mike Leah has earned the majority of his $1.17 million in career earnings over the last year, including two wins and a runner-up finish for just under $600,000 combined. Matt Stout has been cashing consistantly in the live arenas since early 2006, lighting up his Poker Pages' database page to the tune of $600,000 and change, along with a WSOP Circuit ring. Brooks, Bowker, Jaffe, Childs and Lynch, a three time WSOP final tabler, each have career live earnings nearing seven-figures.

"We are thrilled to welcome this incredible group of players as part of the Lock Poker family," said Lock Poker CEO Jennifer Larson. "We will be integrating them into all aspects of the business. These Pro's are the insight we need to really create the best online poker experience worldwide."
