NCC Vows to Keep Pressuring NETeller to Refund Online Poker Players' FundsSat, Mar 24th, 2007 @ 12:00am The NETeller Customer Coalition (NCC) says they will continue to pressure NETeller until frozen funds of online poker players and other US customers are returned; they also question why NETeller must take 75 days to announce a refund plan. Eric Goldstein founded the Yahoo! Group about three weeks ago after he got no satisfactory answers when he repeatedly asked NETeller about the refund of his $1,400 of NETeller funds. As of this writing, already has over 650 members have joined the NCC (click here to read related PokerPages article about NCC formation). NCC members have reported they have a total of more than $3 million of the approximately $55 million tied up by the Department of Justice (DoJ) as evidence in its case against NETeller co-founders Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre, who are charged with money laundering and racketeering (click here to read PokerPages article how a third extension was granted, before the DoJ decides whether to move forward with the case, further delaying release of players' funds). NETELLER released a statement yesterday declaring that a deal with the U.S. Attorney General's office had been made that will allow the money to be returned, and that a plan will be revealed within 75 days (click here to read PokerPages article about NETeller's announcement). Goldstein reacted to NETeller's 75-day period to come up with a refund plan, reported CardPlayer, by sending them a follow-up letter with 3 key questions: Goldstein promised to keep pressuring NETeller until these issues are resolved. "I just don't want to take the pressure off of them," CardPlayer reported Goldstein saying. "A lot of people are feeling that NETeller is just calming us down. My feeling has been, now what?" Goldstein said he hopes in about 150 days that anyone who has money frozen in NETeller will no longer have a reason to visit the NCC group. He WANTS the NCC to become obsolete!
