New MasterCard Aimed at Online Gamers

For those wishing to take their online tournament winnings straight to the ATM, or straight to the bar, MasterCard has a solution for you. Payment companies Intercash and TransSend have together created a MasterCard for the online gamer. The pre-paid card is now available in Europe.

The new gaming dedicated card will have the same capabilities as other MasterCard products, with the added functionality of effortless deposits and withdrawls to and from online gambling sites.

"The gaming sector has been crying out for a secure, reliable and globally recognised prepaid card solution," said Richard Jones, CEO of TransSend. "We are delighted to be the first provider to be given with approval to issue MasterCard gaming payout prepaid cards."

Jones added: "Prepaid cards are ideally suited to the gaming sector and will bring a host of benefits to the industry. Gaming companies are marketing heavily into Europe at the moment and we therefore expect substantial interest from the industry in this product, as it is the first MasterCard approved prepaid card program."

The card is accepted everywhere online and at more than one million ATMs and 24 million point of sale locations around the globe.
