Playtech Adds Sisal- the Third Site to its Italian Poker Network

Closely following Playtech's recent announcement of an agreement with Eurobet Italia last week, the company yesterday announced the addition of Sisal S.p.A, a leading Italian land-based and online gaming company, to its Italian Poker Network. Sisal becomes the third Italian licensee to join Playtech's Italian poker network alongside Snai and Eurobet.

Under the terms of the license agreement, Playtech will provide Sisal with its entire portfolio of poker games in tournament form, according to Gaming Intelligence Group. At present, the software is downloadable in a 'play for fun' mode, with a 'real money' version planned for launch later this year.

The product has been designed to appeal to the tastes of Italian players and will meet all local market requirements, including suitable language and currency. The product has been fully integrated with Sisal's systems in order to ensure a seamless gaming experience for the player.

Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer of Playtech said: "We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with Sisal, who join Snai, and Gala-Coral's Eurobet Italia on Playtech's quickly expanding Italian poker network. The group's market leading technology and its strategy of focusing on newly regulated markets, such as Italy, have enabled Playtech to sign these licensee agreements with these leading Italian operators.

"It is clear that the Italian ipoker network is gaining an even more prominent position in the Italian market with the group becoming a significant player. Playtech plans to work with Sisal and other operators to provide an exciting gaming experience for Italian players and capture an even stronger market share," he said.

Francesco Tiso, Chief Financial Officer of Sisal said: "Sisal has launched Sisal poker online and it was a great pleasure to come to an agreement with Playtech to implement this project. Playtech has a reputation as a high quality and efficient partner and we believe Sisal's online poker will contribute to that reputation, providing security and fun for the benefit our players."
