The Great Dane versus The Dames of Poker on Poker After DarkMon, Mar 31st, 2008 @ 12:00am Following their themed weekly poker broadcasts, the popular NBC television show Poker After Dark this week features the theme: Gus & Ladies. Four-time WPT title winner and one of People Magazines 50 Sexiest men in 2004, Gus "The Great Dane" Hansen will compete with Beth Shak, Clonie Gowen, Erica Schoenberg, J.J. Liu and Vanessa Rousso. As usual, each player will put up $20k to vie for the winner-take-all $120,000 first prize. Clonie Gowen is a former Miss Teen Oklahoma and winner of two Poker After Dark titles. JJ Liu has earned more than $1.5 million in lifetime tournament winnings and came in second at the 2007 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars event. Beth Shak has only been playing poker for a few years but has already earned more than $383K in tournament winnings. Erica Schoenberg is known as "The Poker Babe" or "The Blackjack Babe" and is a former model who's engaged to poker pro David Benyamine. Vanessa Rousso, aka "Lady Maverick" is a Duke graduate who speaks three languages and once played an entire tournament in nothing but a bathrobe. The PAD website asks this question of the show this week: Will Gus be able to concentrate on his cards with so many beautiful women gathered in one place? To find out, you will have to watch the show which airs at 2:05 am EST during this week. A wrap-up of the week's action, including comments from the winning player, can also be seen this Sunday at 1AM EST.
