Venetian Offering 2nd Deep Stack Extravaganza of 2008Sun, Mar 23rd, 2008 @ 12:00am For those who just can't get enough of big stacks and more play, the Venetian is prepping itself for the kickoff of 2008 Deep Stack Extravaganza (DSE) II. Nightly at 6 p.m. PST, from April 4th - April 25th, the Venetian in Las Vegas will offer a $330 buy-in deep stack multi-table tourney. Players will begin play with at least 4,500 in chips, with a staff bonus option of $10 for an extra 1,500 in chips. Food credit will also be distributed. Registration begins each evening at 4 p.m. with satellites running daily. Satellite winners will receive tournament entry lamers, which is good for entry into any DSE tournament, or any other daily tournament offered by the Venetian poker room. The first DSE of 2008 featured 22 events, with buy-ins ranging from $330 to $2,600. At least two more DSE's are planned for 2008. After the April event, DSE III is slated to feature 25 events, running from May 29th through July 16th. DSE IV is scheduled for November of 2008. Last year's DSE tourneys attracted nearly 20,000 entrants and a prize pool of $10 million plus.
