WSOP Main Event Champ Joe Cada to Appear on Letterman

The poker world will receive some late night attention tonight as "The Kid" Joe Cada, the youngest champion in the four decade history of the World Series of Poker Main Event, takes a seat next to embattled talk show host David Letterman.
On Wednesday night, Letterman will welcome Cada to the Late Show stage. The show will be broadcast on CBS at 11:30 PM EST. Cada will become the first poker player to appear on Letterman since 2004.
Cada, a 21-year-old poker pro from Shelby Township, Mich., is less than two weeks removed from conquering the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event final table, a feat worth more than $8.5 million and the most prized piece of gold in the poker world. Also, by being the last man standing in the November Nine, Cada bounced last year's winner Peter Eastgate from the record books, becoming the youngest Main Event winner in the 40 year history of the WSOP. Cada, who took down the event sitting just about a week shy of his 22nd birthday, bested Eastgate's mark by 340 days when he outlasted Darvin Moon in heads-up play.
"I still can't believe that I won the WSOP. It all keeps hitting me in stages," Said Joe Cada in a press release. "And now David Letterman? This is just as good as winning the main event. I'm such a huge fan, it's an honor to be on the show."
