PokerStars Super Tuesday: 'jonwayne69' Triumphs Again

While the PokerStars WCOOP came to a conclusion on Monday, there was no lack of enthusiasm for the latest PokerStars Super Tuesday which more than doubled its $150,000 guarantee in mid-week.

Team PokerStars Pros Jose 'Nacho' Barbero and Randy 'nanonoko' Lew were among the 328 runner field but neither managed to ride the money bubble. It took over seven hours before a final table was set. 'jonwayne69' led the way with 365,617 chips.

'jonwayne69' was seeking a remarkable repeat triumph after taking down the PokerStars Super Tuesday event a month ago. The unknown alias earned $71,208 for that triumph and he eliminated 'Improved' ($11,152) and 'CHEFcaller' ($14,432) to increase his advantage this time around.

'Big Dennys' then made his mark by taking down 'Garrin4e' ($18,696) The latter needed to come from behind to crack his opponents pocket queens but the 2-K-A-A-5 board ended his run in fifth place. 'Garrin4e's exit was swiftly followed by the demise of 'xxCelticFCxx' ($27,060).

The biggest pot of the tournament then reduced the field to the leading two. 'Big Dennys' ($36,080) jammed all in for 580,430 with A-Qos but found no salvation on the 2-9-3-T-7 as 'eisenhower1' took a commanding lead with a pocket pair of kings.

'jonwayne69' promptly doubled through with A-Tos before a heads up deal was brokered. 'eisenhower1' ($56,813) locked up the largest share but he could not prevent 'jonwayne69' ($54,214) from a second triumph in as many months. The talented pro sealed the deal with a two pair as he collected an extra $3,000.
