Like to combine your passion for poker with the fascination of visiting the city of Moscow? If this interests you then read on as this could be the poker tournament experience of a lifetime!!

World Class poker player Jeff Lisandro, in his capacity as Operator of Casino Moscow, extends a warm invitation to poker players worldwide to come to Moscow in October for the 2nd Annual Moscow International Poker Tournament.

Casino He has assembled a formidable tournament management crew in Marsha Waggoner and Mel Judah and has designed a tournament calendar to suit all levels of poker players (View Schedule). As extra enticement, note the USD20,000 teams freeroll (four players from each country, each playing one of the following four tournaments: Pot Limit Hold em, Pot Limit Omaha, Limit Omaha Hi Lo & Limit Razz). You can qualify for the teams event simply by entering any two tournaments.

Casino Moscow is part of Hotel Leningradskaya and is located in the heart of Moscow city close to major attractions. It is a ten minute walk from the Moscow Circus and a ten minute cab ride to Red Square which has the Kremlin, and across the road from the Red Square is the famous Bolshoy Theatre. Taxi fares around Moscow city are generally no more than 100 roubles (USD3.50 approx.) and there is an underground rail network which costs only four roubles one way.

Casino In addition to the fantastic poker side action on offer, Casino Moscow has Blackjack, Roulette and Caribbean Stud and is open 24 hours. The only acceptable currency is USD in both the hotel and casino. Complimentary food and drink is provided to all players -- there is a buffet breakfast for the early birds and snacks can be ordered from the gaming tables or players can take a break from playing to eat. The legal gambling age in Russia is 18 years old.

As a special attraction during the poker tournament, Casino Moscow has arranged for a Chess exhibition challenge match between the Russian Ladies Champion and top European Male player to be held on Monday 16th October.

Accommodation is tremendous value at USD30 per night for a double and USD15 per night for a single room. The single rooms are a little on the small side and the double rooms have push together single beds in them. Keep in mind though that you are visiting an Eastern Bloc country where the best hotel facilities simply don't compare with the five-star luxury of the Western World.

Casino Obtaining a Russian Visa is not a straightforward proposition, however, the staff of Casino Moscow will ensure you receive all the necessary assistance. On arrival in Russia, customs is a slow process, so please be patient. You must ensure that all money is declared on arrival in order to take it back out of the country. All players fortunate enough to win while in Russia can simply transfer funds back to their bank accounts through the casino.

If you intend travelling to Moscow from Asia, the Americas or Europe, for all enquiries and accommodation bookings you can contact Inna or Svetlana between 12 noon to 10 p.m. Moscow time, Monday to Friday. Phone 7-095-9751967, fax 7-095-9754030, or Email poker@cea.ru.

For those players travelling from Australia and New Zealand, a group flight booking has been arranged, including a stopover in Tokyo. Simply email travel@pokernetwork.com for further details.
